This is the second time Precision worked on my car, if you thought they could not get better, your wrong. I was very impressed on the work they did on my car, for a new issue, and the their service keeps getting better. I was able to drop my car off, use the free loaner, and return the next day, as promised with my car working better than when I dropped it off. I recommend Precision to every BMW owner, you will be extremely satisfied.

Precision BMW is a professional, small business where you get a firm handshake and the rare luxury of looking the business owner in the eye. I happily bring my car 30 miles to Derek's shop. The confidence of dealing directly with a down-to-earth small business owner is nearly worth the price of admission alone. Add to that: expert diagnostics, outstanding customer service, and a conscientious master BMW technician and I find myself wondering why there is no such thing as 6-star reviews!

I was looking for a BMW technician to replace my leaking struts. I asked around and searched on the web. I contacted a number of companies, but felt the most comfortable with what I read about Precision BMW Repair. The reviews sounded good and I contacted Derek via e-mail. I explained my situation and he provided a cost estimate to perform the work. He expected the work to be done in just one day, but offered a free loaner while I was without a car. Derek is a true professional and BMW enthusiast. Derek completed the work when he said and for the price he estimated (a substantial savings from other estimates I received). I will be taking my BMW to Derek in the future; I'm elated that I found Precision BMW Repair!!! A very happy customer.

I took my BMW for a pre-buy inspection to Precision BMW Repair on the advice of my son who will allow no one but Derek to service his BMW. Derek performed a Pre-Purchase Inspection for a BMW 530i that a friend was considering buying, and we were extremely impressed with his services.  I was helping my friend buy the vehicle from a nearby non-BMW dealer.  As we both live in the Chicago area, a PPI was a key step.  Derek very capably assessed the mechanical and cosmetic condition of the 530i, and his report actually caused us to abort the purchase.  After Derek completed the PPI, we had a conference phone call to discuss his findings.  Derek clearly communicated his views to us.  As I have had lots of experience purchasing used BMWs (including others purchased from a remote location), it was clear to me that Derek not only has the technical expertise to assess the vehicle -- but importantly, he also has the experience to provide important qualitative commentary about the car as a candidate for a used-car purchase.  I highly recommend his PPI services, if you ever need them.  Derek's services helped us to avoid what would have been an unfortunate used-car purchase.

As a 1st time customer I was glad that Derek took the time to put my car on the lift and thoroughly inspect it, explaining everything as he went along. He noticed several things that required immediate attention which I was unaware of. He repaired everything for the estimated cost and it was ready when promised. I'm sure the cost was far less than the BMW dealer would have charged. I was very satisfied and won't hesitate to bring the car back to Derek in the future. ( the loaner car was a big plus )

This is the only place I will take my 528iT to. This mechanic not only has the lowest prices amongst any of the local BMW techs, but more importantly, he is honest and knows these cars inside and out. He is meticulous in his work, treating my car with the same care he would his own. When I have some obscure question on these cars, he always either knows the answer or will take the time to research it exhaustively. I am relieved to have found a good place at last where I feel safe and secure leaving my car to have work done.

Derek at Precision BMW Repair saved my family vacation. We were on vacation at White Mountain and it was late Saturday afternoon. I attempted to unlock my car and discovered that only the driver's side door would unlock. None of the other doors would unlock. I quickly did a Google search on BMW mechanics in NH and started calling. It was almost 6pm at this point and I wasn't able to get a hold of anybody so I left messages hoping that somebody would be able to assist me. You can imagine my surprise and gratitude when Derek returned my call. Derek took the time to understand this unusual problem and diagnose what was going on. He gave me specific things to try to unlock the doors and through his expertise I was able to unlock all of the doors. Without Derek's guidance I would have had to spend the entire day on Sunday to fix the problem as it was a 2 hr drive each way from White Mountain to Precision BMW - although I was grateful that Derek was willing to work on Sunday. Derek truly saved our vacation because my daughter has been talking about Santa's Village for weeks and if we missed going there on Sunday we would not have another chance to go because it is only open on weekends in early June and we were leaving for home on Friday. Derek's goal was to solve my problem and not to gain financially as he did everything in his power to solve the problem over the phone. Derek's thoughtfulness, kindness and consideration to help me Saturday night was absolutely spectacular. Thanks again Derek !!!

When you first buy your BMW, you fall in love with it. Time passes, you take it for granted, and when the warranty expires and the maintenace costs start to add up, the bloom fades. You start to call it your B-M-trouble you. The news from the dealer service department is always at least twice what you expected, and you're back every few months. And don't even think about a neighborhood mechanic who applies the same repairs and parts to Chevys and BMWs alike. Enter Derek and Precision BMW Repair. He's doesn't just repair your BMW, he puts it and you on a long term therapy program. He'll give you an honest assessment of the state of your car and makes the process of maintenance a participation between he, you, and your BMW. I knew mine needed a traction control module and a variety of other repairs, but Derek alerted me to an eventual failure in the mass air sensor, which would likely occur as seasonal temperatures climbed. His experience and professionalism saved me from being stranded on the side of the road in high summer. Did I mention the prices are reasonable at Precision BMW Repair, in many cases half that of dealers? I was on the verge of trading in my '01 740 iL for a Lexus, but now I'm confident in taking it on long trips and even considering tricking it out. Derek saved  my relationship with my car; he's truly the BMW whisperer !

Precision BMW Repair in Stratham, NH really knows what they're talking about. They let me watch as they worked on my car, and explained things as they went. As other people have commented, Precision BMW Repair let me know what needs to be taken care of now, and also what to expect in the future -- based not only on engine codes, but also based on visual and physical inspections. They're also good at helping explain the difference between maintenance that's needed to keep cars in top shape, and the other nice to have but not critical maintenance. Without taking my BMW to Precision BMW Repair, I would have missed a leak that would have caused my car to overheat and damage the engine this weekend. If you're within driving distance of Precision BMW repair anywhere in New Hampshire, Maine, or Massachusetts, take your car to them. Already "seeing" another BMW repair shop? When you need a second opinion, try these guys out. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

I have known Derek for a few years now, and this is my second BMW that I have had him perform work on. He is the only local guy I trust with my cars. His work is top-notch, and he takes the time to explain things BEFORE AND AFTER doing the work. He does an excellent job of taking care of the known fail points over the lifetime of your BMW (there are a few!), preventing more costly repairs in the future. I heartily recommend his work to anyone within driving distance of Stratham!

Derek is amazing, thorough, and dependable. He has helped me out in a few binds where I couldn't even get my car to his shop. I trust him more than a dealership, and can count on him to give me an honest quote, he also examines the whole car and let's you know what you might need down the line. It's refreshing to find someone you can trust that has such a passion for BMW's -this is my second and I only take my cars to him.

The biggest different between Derek and the dealership is that Derek will fix all of the things that have and WILL fail on your BMW, whereas the dealership will only fix what you say is wrong. Derek prevents me from having to go back for service by fixing the things that he KNOWS will fail on these cars, because he has been fixing them for so long. Example: the dealership fixed my window regulator (common E46 failure) under warranty because I told them it was making noise. Years later, I noticed water pooling on the floor mat during hard rainstorms, and asked Derek about it. He said "Did you ever have a window regulator replaced? The dealership will replace the regulator, and damage the vapor barrier in the process, but they never bother to replace it. I always replace that inexpensive vapor barrier when I do the regulator repair." That's only one example of his amazing diagnostic skills. Derek has proven to me, time and time again, that BMW's preventative maintenance schedule is a bunch of marketing garbage. "Lifetime fluids" becomes obviously ridiculous once you've seen the condition of the fluids that come out of the transfer case and the diffs on an XI. And the thing about Derek is (if you're interested in this stuff) he will save those samples to show you later, he will take pictures of your engine components as he is fixing them, and he is willing to talk for as long as you need to fully understand the condition of your vehicle. Derek recently replaced BMW's version of the PCV valve that he has seen fail on numerous models. Coincidentally, my neighbor scrapped his 325i because this system failed on his car and ruined the engine. It's not cheap to replace the system with the updated BMW part, but it sure is cheaper than a new engine. I have gone to other non-dealership service locations in the Seacoast area as well, but Derek's flexible after-hours schedule eliminates the stress of taking time off work to drop off and pick up your vehicle. The number of nicely-maintained BMWs "waiting in the queue" at his location is a testament to the satisfaction of his customers. In closing, PASSION is an understatement for the service Derek provides, and I have no plans to go anywhere else.

 As a woman I am very reluctant to take my car to dealerships and other garages because I do not feel like I can trust them. When I first met Derek about 2-3 years ago he made me feel comfortable immediately and I knew right then and there that I could trust him. Even though I have purchased my BMW's through a reputable dealer I still go to Derek for everything! His passion for BMW's makes him truly an outstanding mechanic and business owner. I also love the fact that he will follow up with you and stay in touch just to see how the car is running. You will never get this type of service at any other garage/dealership. He provides great service and I believe you will become as faithful to Precision BMW repair as I have!

After only taking my car only to the dealer for the first three years I owned it, I finally found Derek/Precision BMW. My car is my baby so I was nervous to trust someone else with it, but I have been blown away by his faboulous attention to detail, amazing customer service and tenacity (i.e. he will pursue a problem/do research, whatever it takes to make sure issues are solved, the car is repaired to your satisfaction and everyone is happy). Plus, the fact that he has a loaner car is a bonus! After service is complete he then takes the time to do polite, courteous follow up to make sure you're satisfied. If only more people in the service industry could be this way...

Consistently dependable, knowledgable on anything-BMW I am OCD, anal as all heck when it comes to my '01 M3. awesome guy awesome service all I can say is I found the right guy to work on my bmw!! Instead of going back to the dealership just to get ripped off with their prices I found a local guy Derek to do the work. Not only are his prices reasonable you can just tell he has a passion for bmw's. Derek is very knowledgeable and very professional. Fantastic service & great prices Wow - just like Goldilocks!! First I had my BMW serviced by the dealer - too expensive; then I had it serviced by an independent mechanic - wrong equipment & repeat problems; finally I found Derek. This guy lives BMW and has all the right diagnostic equipment to do anything and everything. He helps you to understand everything you ever wanted to know about your car and provides such care and expertise into his work. His hours are totally flexible and you are provided with nicely running 7 series loaner while your car is being serviced. When you get your car back it is just perfect and the price is fair. The labor charge is also much less than you would pay at the dealer. If you have a BMW and it needs service - Derek is the guy - simple decision.

Dealer expertise at fair prices Being new to BMW, I went to my long time mechanic to service my "new" 2005 330ci convertible. They told me that they did not have the equipment to "initialize" repairs. I went to several other local foreign car repair shops and got the same story. Derek to the rescue! He has the correct equipment, many years of experience, and flexible hours. So far I've only needed oil changes and a couple of minor repairs but Derek was able to do the work promptly and correctly. Very satisfied and highly recommended!!

Amazing combination of expertise and integrity Incredible service at a fair price with flexible hours. Derek took the time to fully explain what was needed and why, came in under his estimate (which was already a fraction of the dealer), then carefully went over what was done AND gave me a thorough understanding of what services will be needed down the road. .....Derek has reasonable prices, always beats the dealerships by a good margin! I had a problem with my 3 series and called Derek on Friday night to let him know what was going on. In less then 24 hours he drove out to the loctation to diagnose the issue and had it fixed within 48!! Couldn't ask for better service with this being on the weekend and the Holidays coming up!....with is expert service, I was able to save on my rental...never mind that on a scheduled day that I bring my car in I am able to borrow his loaner!....Thank You Sir!
